TITLE: VIRTUAL REFERENCE PROVIDER
SALARY: $12 per hour
HOURS: (Corrected) 10- 15 hours during the times:  7pm-Midnight Monday – Thursday, 10-5 on Saturday, and 10-Midnight on Sundays.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
· Staff the statewide ‘Ask a Librarian’ service
· Use Docutek’s Virtual Reference Librarian Plus (VRLplus) software comprising of live chat and web page escorting to answer reference questions
· Accurately assess users needs to provide reference services with a high level of customer service.

MINIMUM TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university;
· Recent experience with personal computers, online library services, and Web searching;
· Current enrollment in a Florida American Library Association (ALA) accredited Library School, or graduation from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited Library School.
· Must have personal access to a reliable broadband Internet connection.
