FT ABI/INFORM Global (LIRN/ProQuest Direct)
Search 1000 premier worldwide business periodicals for information on advertising, marketing, economics, human resources, finance, taxation, computers, and more. Also, information on 60,000+ companies. Password required.
Art Index Retrospective (Public Libraries)
Arts magazines indexed 1929-1984. A local public library card is required. Password required.
Books in Print (LIRN/Infotrac)
Use this database to search for books in and out of print. Over 1.9 million titles retrievable by title, author, subject, publisher, publication date, ISBN, and more. Password required.

Business and Company Resource Center brings together in a single database company profiles, company brand information, rankings, investment reports, company histories, chronologies, and periodicals. Search this database to find detailed company and industry news and information. Password required.
FT Computers Database (LIRN/Infotrac)
Use this database to find computer-related product introductions, news, and reviews in areas such as hardware, software, electronics, engineering, communications and the application of technology. Password required.
FT Custom Newspaper (LIRN/Infotrac)
Indexing and full text for the New York Times (11/2000-), Los Angeles Times (1996-), Christian Science Monitor (1996-), Washington Post (1996-), and St Petersburg (FL)Times (11/1999-). Password required.
FT ERIC
The Educational Resources Information Center database is the world's largest source of education information. The database contains more than 1,000,000 abstracts of documents and journal articles on education research and practice. As of October 1, 2004, full-text Eric Documents (ED citations) are provided from 1993 through the present. Journal articles (EJ citations) are not full-text. Open Access.
FT Expanded Academic ASAP (LIRN/Infotrac)
Citation, abstract and full–text articles. Offering balanced coverage of every academic concentration — from advertising and microbiology to history and women's studies — this resource combines indexing abstracts, full text and images for both the novice and the experienced research. Curriculum–based coverage is available through 3,100 indexed and 1,900 full–text titles in a wide variety of disciplines including: social science, humanities, science and technology; national news periodicals; general interest magazines; newswires; The New York Times; and many others. Florida Biography Index (State Library of Florida)
The Biography Index contains references to biographical information on notable Floridians in the books, periodicals, vertical files, newspapers and maps of the Florida Collection [State Library]. Some of the resources indexed are rare, but many are current periodicals that might be found in your own local public library.

A database of encyclopedias, almanacs, and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research. Password required.
FT General BusinessFile-ASAP (LIRN/Infotrac)
Use this database to research all business and management topics. Includes directory listings for over 150,000 companies as well as investment analysts' reports on major companies and industries. Password required.
Getty Images
An image database of over 500,000 stock photos to use for educational purposes only. Students are limited to 50 downloads of high resolution images per quarter and unlimited downloads of low resolution images. Students must e-mail the librarian from their Art Institute e-mail address, Paula Bagwell (pbagwell@aii.edu) for the current quater's username/password. FT Grove Art Online
Grove Art Online provides Web access to the entire text of The Dictionary of Art (1996, 34 vols.) with annual additions of new material and updates to the text, plus extensive image links and all the sophisticated search advantages possible with an online reference source. FT Grove Music Online (Public Libraries)
Multimedia encyclopedia covering world music. A local public library card is required. Password required.
FT InfoTrac OneFile (LIRN/Infotrac)
A one-stop source for news and periodical articles on a wide range of topics: business, computers, current events, economics, education, environmental issues, health care, hobbies, humanities, law, literature and art, politics, science, social science, sports, technology, and many general interest topics. Millions of full-text articles, many with images. Password required.
FT LegalTrac (LIRN/Infotrac)
Use this database to find articles in all major law reviews, law journals, specialty law and bar association journals and legal newspapers. Included are articles on Federal and State Cases, Laws and Regulations, Legal Practice, and Taxation. Also included are: British Commonwealth, European Union and International Law. Password required.

Literature Research Center -- LRC (LIRN/Infotrac)
Literature Resource Center provides access to biographies, bibliographies, and critical analyses of authors from every age and literary discipline. The database covers more than 120,000 novelists, poets, essayists, journalists, and other writers, with in-depth coverage of 2,500 of the most studied authors.Password required.
FT Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center (LIRN/Infotrac)
A database that draws on the acclaimed social issues series published by Greenhaven Press, as well as core reference content from other Gale and Macmillan Reference USA sources to provide a complete one-stop source for information on social issues. Access viewpoint articles, topic overviews, statistics, primary documents, links to Web sites, and full-text magazine and newspaper articles. Password required.

Many local public libraries including Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, and Sarasota have a wide variety of databases available including Art Index Retrospective, Grove Music Online, and MagillOnAuthors. A local public library card is required. Password required.

A multidisciplinary, full-text database providing articles from many Wilson periodical databases. Username and password required.
Worth Global Style Network (WGSN)
This is a fashion forecasting service with information on colors, styles, fabrics, runways, and designers. Also included is career information and student portfolios. Students need to set up individual accounts by registering with the current valid PIN number. The PIN number will change every six months. The PIN number can be picked up at the Library. To register, go to the "PIN update" icon on the left-hand side of the homepage. Enter the PIN and click submit. Then fill out the form. You'll be sent your own username and password to use through the "log on" icon on the homepage. It may take up to four days to receive your account. PIN required.
