Socrates Café: These monthly discussion groups were
inspired by the book The Six Questions of Socrates. Author Christopher Phillips
traveled the world to lead informal groups, engaging people in the manner
of the ancient Greek philosopher, for whom “the questions are more
important than the answers.” Thursday, September 10 at 10:00 am.

“Grace Under Pressure,” continues with Franz Kafka’s The
Trial. Join us for coffee, light refreshments, and lively conversation.

Attention Coffee/Talkers (and other books-into-movies fans)—We’ll
be showing “The Trial,” a mesmerizing BBC film (2000) based
on Kafka’s classic story, and starring Kyle MacLaclan (as “Josef
K”), Anthony Hopkins, Jason Robards, and Alfred Molina. Thursday,

The G & O Book Club: A philosophical discussion group
