Systems Analyst

Duties: Responsibilities include acting as system administrator, managing, configuring and maintaining the library’s integrated library system (Horizon); also: implementing technical applications and advising on hardware and software purchases; developing cost analyses, design considerations, and implementation timelines for the development of software and hardware systems; testing and installing software upgrades; using SQL to troubleshoot software and develop scripts to create or enhance functionality; maintaining database tables, security and user accounts; developing statistical reports; providing technical assistance to staff at all levels; analysis of current and future technology needs; working knowledge of both technology and business processes; creation of procedures manuals and systems documentation and the supervision of two full-time employees.
Experience with SirsiDynix ILS systems preferred. 2-5 years of enterprise database experience (Sybase 12/12.5, SQL 2005+, Oracle 9i+). Pay Scale: $53,435 - $82,950 (Annual)
Requirements: An Associate’s or higher degree from an accredited college or university with a major in a Data Processing field; and three years of experience in computer programming or systems analysis.

A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in a Data Processing field; and two years of experience in computer programming or systems analysis.
OR
Graduation form high school or possession of a GED certificate; and five years of experience in computer programming or systems analysis

Duties: This position is responsible for planning, implementation, management and evaluation of all library services for three schools. Will handle issues ranging from strategic Planning and Budgeting to collection development and reference and instructional services.
Requirements: Job Requirements:
Knowledge:
a) Master’s Degree in Library, Information Science, or related from an ALA accredited school.
b) At least 5 to 7 years experience working in a library in a post-secondary institution.
c) Held positions of increasingly responsible experience in the industry, with at least 3 of those at a supervisory or management level
d) Knowledge of subjects usually taught at a post-secondary institution
e) Knowledge of integrated library systems, OCLC, MARC records and current technologies f) Knowledge of & experience with regional accreditation requirement g) Understands the needs of a graduate research program
