Library Advisory Committee The Safety Harbor City Commission established a citizens advisory committee to assist the Library Director and to act as a liaison between city government, the citizens, and library staff. The LAC is responsible for upholding the mission of the Safety Harbor Library, providing high quality library and information services to the public, and making the library a focal point in the community. They advise the Director on matters relating to the library, public service, and the library budget. They also act as library representatives within the community. Meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of each month, 7:00-8:30 pm. Looking to make a difference in your community? Our library provides numerous resources to the public. The skills and talents you could offer as a volunteer would really enhance our ability to make these resources available. We are looking for friendly people, age 15 and up, with varied abilities and backgrounds. Our volunteers assist in several areas, including Circulation, New Materials Processing, Technical Services, Reference and Youth Services.
