Library Advisory Committee

The Safety Harbor City Commission established a citizens advisory committee to assist the Library Director and to act as a liaison between city government, the citizens, and library staff.  The LAC is responsible for upholding the mission of the Safety Harbor Library, providing high quality library and information services to the public, and making the library a focal point in the community. They advise the Director on matters relating to the library, public service, and the library budget. They also act as library representatives within the community. Meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of each month, 7:00-8:30 pm.

Friends of the Library

Please Note the temporary location for the Book Sale is at The Rigsby Center, during the Library expansion!
The next Friends of the Library Booksale will be Saturday, October 18th, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

The Friends of the library actively participate in various committees and functions that contribute
services and capital beyond the basic library's budget. The Friends are always looking for
new members who want to share a little of their time or talents towards making the library
a better place. Just fill out an application at the library or print the application here.

The Friends maintain a continuous sale of used books, videos, tapes and magazines. Visit the
Booktique located in the front of the library to pick up some great bargains.
