Meeting Room Policy Meeting Room Registration The Meeting Room is Unavailable until after the expansion, Thank you The Library maintains a handicapped accessible meeting room with a seating capacity of 70 persons. The primary purpose of the meeting room is for Library programs. Library or town sponsored programs have priority for room use. The Library is also listed as a polling place with the Supervisor of Elections making the room unavailable on election / polling days. At other times, the meeting room will be available on a first come, first served basis to nonprofit organizations engaged in educational, cultural, intellectual or charitable activities. All programs must be open to the public at large, no group may charge admission, nor may it present for sale any item that is conditional for attendance at a program. Groups wishing to use the Library meeting room facilities must follow established policies and procedures for room use. 1. The meeting room is available for use during library hours. 9:30 am - 8:00 pm Tuesday through Thursday 9:30 am - 6:00 pm Friday 9:30 am - 5:00 pm Saturday 1:00 am - 5:00 pm Sunday 2. The group will designate a contact person who has a valid Pinellas Public Library Cooperative Library card. The contact person will sign a Library Meeting Room Application that specifies the nature of the group, the purpose of the meeting, time and date(s) required and acceptance of responsibility for any damage, loss or theft of Library property. The contact person may apply for the use of Library equipment at the time the application is signed. 3. Only light refreshments can be served and a small kitchenette joins the meeting room. The kitchenette is equipped with a sink, microwave, small refrigerator, large coffee maker, and some utensils. 4. Groups using the kitchenette and serving food are required to remove leftovers, bag and tie all garbage, wipe dishes, appliances, counters, and tables after use. Groups will be liable for custodial maintenance or repairs for anything requiring exceptional services.
5. In the interest of fairness to eligible groups, the Library can assign times for meetings only for the current year. Bookings for the following calendar year will be taken on October 1 and later. The Library retains the right to reserve the meeting room for specific dates intended for future programming. 6. In providing meeting room space, the Safety Harbor Public Library and the City of Safety Harbor assume no responsibility for loss of or damage to any personal property of groups using the Library meeting room. 7.
