Florida Education Resources
The Florida Department of Education web site has several interesting sources, including school accountablity reports for 1999-2000, and information on home schooling in Florida.

FCAT Explorer Site "FCAT Explorer is a practice and skills reinforcement tool based on Florida’s Sunshine State Standards. Public school students and teachers can use the FCAT Explorer free of charge. So, log on and put the FCAT Explorer to work for you and your students."  To use students will need to get a sign-in name and a password from their teachers. The Library staff does not have the sign name or password!

The Busy Educator's Guide to the Web. Site maintained by Marjan Glavac, a Canadian teacher, featuring a list of carefully described sites for educators, parents and students.

Education World--"Where Educators Go to Learn" A massive (over 80,000 links) database of web delivered educational material including lessons plans, professional articles, curriculum and web site reviews. 

"What To Expect Your First Year of Teaching."  An online book based largely on discussions with outstanding first year teachers. Valuable insights not just for prospective educators but for parents and public officials as well.
