These are available in the library and at home to holders of valid library cards from any member library of the Pinellas Public Library Cooperative. You must connect to these databases through the library's web site Reference USA gives basic information (major business activities, number of employees, annual sales, type of yellow page ad, years in the directory) and complete contact information for virtually every business in the United States. For public companies it now provides access to filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Business and Company Resource Center provides detailed information for public and many private companies. The depth of information of course varies, but may include besides company profiles, news about the company, a company history, investment report, ranks and industry overviews. Business and Company Resource Center also includes major international firms. General Business File ASAP from the Florida Electronic Library links to news stories, financial data and investment reports for public companies. Information comes from a combination of broker reports, trade publications and company directories |
