Parent Soup An online community for parents and parents to be featuring interactive forums, chat room, articles and sources of expert advice.

The National Parent Information Network. A clearinghouse for exchanging parenting information sponsored by the ERIC Clearinghouse on Urban Education at Columbia University's Teacher's College and the Eric Clearinghouse on Elementary and Early Childhood Education at the University of Illinois.
 

ERIC Clearinghouse on Elementary and Early Childhood Education. Includes access to the ERIC databases and excerpts from the Clearinghouse's publications. Also provides access to AskERIC and PARENTS AskERIC, interactive information sources for education, child development and parenting,

The National Parenting Center.

LD Online: the interactive guide to learning disabilities for parents, teachers and children. A source of basic and in depth information about learning disabilities, such as attention deficit disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, sources for help and support, and guides for further research.

The Single Parent Resource. An interactive forum for single parents, including articles and sources for additional information.

The Librarian's Guide to Cyberspace for Parents & Kids. A guide to the Internet with a directory sites produced by the American Library Association.

Commonsense Strategies for raising drug and alcohol free children.  Created by National PTA this is an information hub for resources dealing with substance abuse among children and adolescents. Includes interactive activities and games for both parents and children and has links to help lines and other resources. 

C.H.A.D.D. (Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorders). Produced by the country's largest ADD organization this site includes links to C.H.A.D.D.'s quarterly magazine, a directory of local chapters and fact sheets on attention defict disorders. These include treatment options, legal rights and parenting and educational issues.

National Attention Deficit Disorder Association. Extensive collection of web sources including reports on current research, conferences as well as basic and essential facts.

For Parents of Preemies.  Answers to frequently asked questions of parents of premature or sick infants. Prepared by the University of Wisconsin and the Center for Perinatal care at Meriter Hospital, Madison Wisconsin.

LD (Learning Disabilities Online). Major features  include the ABCs of LD and ADD covering basics of learning disabilities and attention deficit disorder, in depth information on LD, where to get help and an ask the experts link.

Children with Disabilities. "The Children With Disabilities Web site offers families, service providers, and other interested individuals information about advocacy, education, employment, health, housing, recreation, technical assistance, and transportation covering a broad array of developmental, physical, and emotional disabilities." Includes information about grants and funding and research and statistical material.
