General Soures for Philosophy
Epistime Links.  A collection of links covering the wide range of philosophy.  Links can be followed by philosopher or by major philosophical school or concept. There are also links to general resources such encyclopedias or dictionaries of philosophy, lecture notes, course outlines, electronic texts and online philosophical journals.

Philosophy Related Resources on the Internet.  Primarily a collection of listservs (Internet discussion group)

Philosophy in Cyberspace. Neatly arranged in five categories: Philosophy topics (major concepts and Great Thinkers); Text related sources (bibliographies, electronic texts, journals); Organizations and associations (academic departments, projects, professional associations); Discussion forums and Miscellaneous links (job openings, humor, etc.)

The Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy.  Subjects can be accessed alphabetically, by time line or by a key word index.

The Voice of the Shuttle's Philosophy Page.  Several sets of links including general philosophical resources,  philosophical fields, modern philosophical fields, philosophers and works and other philosophic sites.

The Window: Philosophy on the Internet.  Biographical data on over 50 philosophers, plus a time line and interactive section.

The Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy.   Calling itself the "first dynamic encyclopedia"  The Stanford Encyclopedia of  Philosophy is an ungoing publication maintained by experts in the fields. Each article is evaluated by members of an editorial board made up of scholars at major North American universities. Articles are updated frequently in response to new research. Please note that not all subjects in the current version's table of contents are linked to articles.

Ethics
Ethics Updates.  Seeks to provide students and instructors with sources for current literature on ethical issues, from professional and popular sources, including both ethical theory and applied ethics. The latter includes resources on such pressing social issues as abortion, capital punishment, animal rights and euthanasia.

Ethics on the World Wide Web. Includes some codes of ethics (limited in scope) and material on ethics in various fields.

The Burkhart Guide to the Internet: Ethics.  Several outstanding sites listed by Joyce Burkhart, Instructor-in-Charge of  theSaint Petesburg Junior College Seminole Campus Information Commons. One of these sites is a large and growing collection of  code of ethics online for many professions and occupations. Codes of Ethics Online.

Ethical Issues
Doctor-Assisted Suicide --a guide to WEB Sites and the Literature. A bibliography on the issue prepared by the Longwood College Library. Resources selected include web sites,  books, journal and newspaper articles, and television and radio broadcasts.  Some, but far from all,  of the books and periodical articles can be accessed online; in most cases only the citation is available. Links to State and federal enactments, particularly Oregon's Death with Dignity and to relevant court decisions are also provided.
