Religious Movements Home Page at the University of Virgina. "Dedicated to the study of religious movements in the world and on the web" this site was assembled and maintained by the late Professor Jeffery K. Hadden and his sociology of religion students at the University of Virginia.  Detailed profiles of over 200 religious bodies with links to significant web sites and printed resources can be found at Group Profiles, Links and Information. The Alphabetical Listing of Group Profiles is the quickest way of getting information about a specific group  

Finding God in Cyberspace.   A selected directory of Internet gateways to the most useful resources in religious studies and related subjects. In essence an annotated guide to religious reference material compiled by Ph.D. in religious studies who also has a master's degree in library science.  

Virtual Religion Index. A directory of links created by Rutgers University Department of Religion. Covers both specific religious traditions and academic religious studies (comparative religion, psychology of religions, etc.)  

Glossary of Religious Terms.  Defines religious terms both in general use and as they may be applied by those of various traditions. Some terms are linked to sources of additional information.  

The Ontario Centre for Religious Tolerance provides information on small sects and cults as well as on the major world religions.  The Ontario Consultants for Religious Tolerance has additional resources on their home page.

Everything Jewish.Com Well, not really everything Jewish, but the site does present concise and thorough explanations of Jewish holidays and customs from a traditional perspective.
