Tuesdays: Teen and Tween Crafts

Craft programs for teens and tweens are for ages 10-17 and start at 2:00 PM. Registration is required.

  • June 17 - Gel Candles
  • July 1 - Mosaic Candle Stand
  • July 22 - Beading Party
  • July 29 - Hanging Candle Votive

Wednesdays: Educational Programs

Educational programs are for children ages 6 to 12 and begin at 2:00 PM. Registration is required. (Registration begins the Monday of the week of the program.)

  • June 18 - Cartooning with Leah
  • June 25 - Croc Encounters presents Reptiles of Florida
  • July 9 - Great Explorations Children's Museum presents Force and Motion
  • July 16 - Mocassin Lake Park - Florida frogs, toads, insects and snakes
  • July 23 - Ree Cycle - Introduction to water and energy conservation and recycling with interactive games, songs, movement and puppets.
  • July 30 - Princess crafts

Thursdays: Special Shows and Stories

Special Shows begin at 11:00 AM and will be held at the Tarpon Springs Heritage Center at Craig Park on Spring Bayou, 100 Beekman Lane [map]. No registration is required. Recommended for ages 4 and up.

  • June 19 - Razzmatazz - ventriloquism and magic
  • June 26 - Fritzy Brothers' One-Man Circus
  • July 10 - Tricky Dog Show
  • July 17 - Play'n Around Children's Theater presents Hansel and Gretel
  • July 24 - Timeless Tales presents Tom Sawyer

Special Summer Preschool Story Time featuring Music with Mar begins at 10:30 AM and will be held at the Library.

Fun Fridays

  • Toddler Time (ages 18 months to 3 years) at 10:15 AM and 11:00 AM. Registration is required.
  • Read 'n' Play - June 13 through August 8 - 2:00 to 4:00 PM
    Reading program for children (ages 5-12) who can read independently. Children will read with teen volunteers and then play reading educational (and fun) games. Children (and their families) who complete at least 120 minutes of reading will be invited to a special celebration to be held August 14th.

Craft Saturdays

Craft Saturdays - From 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
A different craft each week. Come to the library and make your masterpiece. No registration is required.
